Overview:
The Welder I at Sure Steel, Inc. is an entry-level position responsible for performing basic welding tasks to support the fabrication of steel components. This role involves following detailed instructions, operating welding equipment safely, and ensuring high-quality welds. The Welder I will work under the supervision of experienced welders and supervisors to develop their skills and contribute to the successful completion of projects.
Key Responsibilities:
1.   Welding Operations:
-Â Â Â Perform basic welding tasks, including MIG, TIG, and stick welding, on steel components.
-Â Â Â Follow welding procedures and specifications to ensure high-quality welds.
-Â Â Â Operate welding equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to company standards and guidelines.
2.   Material Preparation:
-Â Â Â Prepare materials for welding, including cutting, grinding, and cleaning surfaces.
-Â Â Â Set up welding equipment and select appropriate settings based on material and project requirements.
-Â Â Â Assist in the layout and assembly of components to be welded.
3.   Quality Control:
-Â Â Â Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
-Â Â Â Identify and repair defects in welds, such as cracks, porosity, and incomplete fusion.
-Â Â Â Maintain accurate records of welding activities and quality checks.
4.   Safety and Compliance:

-Â Â Â Participate in safety training and drills to stay current with best practices.

5.   Equipment Maintenance:
