The Role
The Data Services Manager will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and efficiency of our data collection and delivery processes. You will oversee the operational aspects of survey programming, data processing, and quality assurance for quantitative research projects. The role requires a deep understanding of market research methodologies, strong project management skills, and a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset.
Things You’ll Do
Data Processing/Services Team Leadership
- Lead, manage, and grow the Data Services team (including our current offshore data processing team of two)
- Act as a key point of contact for data-related technical needs (data weighting/merging, etc.), client escalations, and solution development
- Serve as a senior technical advisor within the organization, ensuring best practices are adopted across survey execution and data delivery
Data Tabulation and Technical Support
- Partner closely with Research, Project Management, and Client Services teams to ensure data deliverables align with research design and client expectations
- Develop comprehensive data tabulations, using our currently utilized software, WinCross, based on internal standards as well as customized tab and banner plans provided by project teams
- While maintaining a high level of proficiency in WinCross, experience with other tabulation platforms is also welcome, as we are open to solutions that may improve efficiency, accuracy, or scalability
- Ensure high standards of data quality, structure, and delivery formats across all research projects
Growth of In-House Data Services Capabilities
- Define and execute the vision for data services in alignment with company goals and evolving client needs
- Evaluate, recommend, and implement survey and analytics software/tools to support current and future business needs
- Drive continuous improvement in operational workflows, automation, and scalability
- Collaborate with senior leadership to identify opportunities to scale operations and introduce efficiencies through automation, tooling, and process improvements
