Our multi-specialty group practice is seeking a part time Orthodontic Assistant to work in our Northern offices!
Responsibilities
- Help Orthodontist prepare for procedures by having the necessary tools sterilized and in place
- Help keep a patient’s mouth clean and dry during procedures and hand the Orthodontist the necessary tools at the appropriate time
- Patient education: explain procedures and discuss treatment progress and plans
- This position will include all aspects of clinical dental care
Requirements
- Previous ortho chairside assisting is preferred (Banding, De-banding, changing wires etc.)
- Positive attitude and enthusiasm for the workday
- Excellent customer service skills with an outgoing, people friendly personality
- The ideal applicant will display and demonstrate excellent communication skills with staff and patients
- Desire to learn new skills and expand your potential
- X-Ray certified
Part-time schedule is as follows:
- Mondays: Clifton 9am to 5pm
- Tuesdays: Woodbridge 9am to 6pm
- Wednesdays: Union 9am to 6pm
- Thursdays: Parsippany 9am to 5pm
