The CBO Patient Credits and Refunds role performs various tasks to ensure the smooth operations of the Central Billing Operations Department when it comes to assisting our patients with their outstanding credit balance. Whether this be strictly issuing a refund or possibly scheduling future treatment for their credit to be used against.
This is a fully remote position. Applicants MUST have prior dental experience to be considered for this role
Responsibilities
- Proactively call patients who have an outstanding credit balance to attempt to resolve their credit balance by first seeing if they would like to schedule an appointment to potentially use their credit balance against.
- In the event a patient does not want to come back to the office we offer them a refund, and their address information will need to be validated and updated if necessary.
- This role will need to be beginner proficient in excel to be able to manage the list of patients being called and document specifically what the outcome of the call is.
- Will need to send weekly those accounts that would like a refund to accounting so that the check can be issued.
- Create ticket where there is a balance discrepancy and an adjustment needs to be made

- Basic dental terminology and procedures
- Focus on accuracy
- Strong knowledge of dental office functions
- Communication skills
- Revenue integrity (maximize collection, minimize write off)
