TITLE: IT Administrator

DEPARTMENT: Engineering

REPORTS TO: Director, Engineering

About the Role:

The IT Administrator will support our remote employees and various facilities with all IT needs, including equipment ordering and troubleshooting.

How You’ll Make a Difference:

  • Manage the fleet of laptops and tablets, including purchasing, setting up new employees, and troubleshooting; repairs are generally outsourced. Implement a UEM (Unified Endpoint Management) solution to enhance security and compliance
  • Oversee various software accounts, including Slack, Zoom, and Google Workspace. Primarily responsible for onboarding and offboarding accounts, with periodic configuration tasks
  • Assist employees with technical issues, serving as the first point of contact for computer-related difficulties or challenges with third-party software accounts
  • Support on-premise technical tasks, such as setting up printers, troubleshooting wireless connectivity, or installing security cameras
  • Propose and implement new technical solutions, such as a phone tree to meet diverse stakeholder needs
  • Oversee any outsourced IT work, acting as the primary contact for third-party IT vendors as needed
  • Improve documentation and processes to empower employees to solve common technical issues independently
  • Be onsite weekly at either the Vacaville, CA, or Burlington, NJ, facility
  • Be available for limited travel, approximately 1-2 times per year
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the department’s efficiency and contribute to making Thistle a great workplace!
