Nutritional Counter Attendant

Position Overview:
The Strength and Conditioning Department at Charleston Southern University seeks passionate and dedicated student employees to assist the strength and conditioning staff in the daily needs of the nutritional counter located within the Angie and Sam Kelly Strength and Conditioning Center. These positions offer students the opportunity to serve their peers, develop leadership skills, and gain valuable hands-on experience within the Charleston Southern University athletic department. Each role contributes directly to the success of our CSU student athletes.Â
Key Responsibilities:
Responsibilities vary by role and may include, but are not limited to:
o   Provide excellent customer service to our student athletes when maintaining the daily needs of the nutritional area.
o   Preparing post training session nutritional shakes for the CSU student athletes.
o   Assist the strength and conditioning in keeping the nutritional items available for CSU student athletes pre, during, and post workouts.
o   Daily updates to the strength and conditioning staff on the nutritional supplies needed.
o   Weekly updates to the strength and conditioning staff on the needed supplies to maintain a clean, neat nutritional area.
o   Aid in the daily maintenance of the nutritional area.
o   Maintain cleanliness in nutritional area
o   Other Duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Attributes:
- Must be punctual and prepared for work each day.
- Must express excellent work ethic.
- Competency in being to relate with and work well as a team member.
- Must demonstrate good time management and decision-making.
Hours:
Part-time, approximately 0-15 hours per week.
Compensation:
Hourly wage, based on university student employment guidelines.

- These roles are intended to provide students with meaningful employment experience that contributes to both their personal and career development.
- Strength and Conditioning Student Employment reports to Noel Durfey, Director of Strength and Conditioning and is managed by Gracie Frazier, Assistant Director of Strength and Conditioning.
- Students enrolled in courses during the semester they are working are FICA-exempt.
- Students not enrolled in the semester are required to pay FICA taxes.
- Students are not permitted to work during scheduled class times.
