Position Overview:
The Office of the Registrar at Charleston Southern University seeks a motivated and detail-oriented Part-Time Office Assistant to support day-to-day operations. This role involves administrative tasks, customer service, and assisting with the efficient functioning of the office. Key Responsibilities:
Responsibilities vary by role and may include, but are not limited to:
- Provide front-line customer service to students, faculty, staff, and alumni via phone, email, and in-person inquiries, reflecting the university's commitment to Christian hospitality.
- Assist with processing student records, including transcript requests, enrollment verifications, and other documentation, ensuring accuracy and adherence to institutional policies and FERPA guidelines.
- Maintain accurate and organized files, both electronic and physical, in alignment with university standards.
- Support event coordination for Registrar-related activities, such as commencement, with attention to detail and a spirit of service.
- Assist with data entry, report generation, and updating student records in the institution's database system.
- Distribute and collect forms, ensuring completeness and proper routing for processing.
- Perform general office duties, including photocopying, scanning, filing, and managing office supplies.
- Collaborate with team members to uphold the mission and goals of Charleston Southern University.
- Other duties as assigned.
