Position Overview:
The Athletic Event/Gameday Worker is responsible for assisting with the successful execution of Charleston Southern University athletic contests and special events. This position provides operational support to ensure a safe, welcoming, and professional environment for student-athletes, officials, fans, and campus guests.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsibilities vary by role and may include, but are not limited to:
•   Assist with event set-up and teardown, including equipment placement, facility preparation, signage, and related tasks.
•   Provide customer service and assistance to visiting teams, officials, spectators, and CSU staff.
•   Help with game operational tasks such as ball retrieval, floor mopping, etc. varying on sport and NCAA requirements
•   Monitor facility conditions during events to ensure cleanliness, safety, and compliance with CSU policies.
•   Respond to guest inquiries, resolve minor issues, and escalate concerns to supervisory staff as appropriate.
•   Support emergency and safety procedures when necessary.
•   Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Attributes:
•   Current enrollment as a Charleston Southern University student in good academic standing.
•   Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
•   Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
•   Dependable, punctual, and professional in demeanor.
•   Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as dictated by the athletic schedule.
•   Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift/move equipment as required.
Preferred
•   Previous customer service or event operations experience.
•   Interest in athletics, sports management, or event coordination.

Hours:
- Part-time, approximately 0-20 hours per week. Variable hours based on home athletic event schedules.
- Evening and weekend availability required.
Compensation:
Hourly wage, based on university student employment guidelines.

- Students not enrolled in the semester are required to pay FICA taxes.
- Students are not permitted to work during chapel or scheduled class times
