Position Overview

The College of Humanities at Charleston Southern University invites applications for an Adjunct Instructor of Geography. Charleston Southern seeks candidates who are professing Christians, committed to excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service. They should support the goals of a strong liberal arts education and be willing to explore with students the integration of faith and learning.


Responsibilities

This is a part-time, adjunct faculty position. Primary duties include conducting Geography lecture classes in an in-person, classroom setting or online as well as assisting students on assignments, grading papers, classroom management, and submitting data (attendance, grades, etc.) on time as required by the institution.

Qualifications

This position requires a Master of Arts or PhD degree in Geography or a related field with at least 18 graduate hours in Geography. The ideal candidate will have experience teaching at the college level, should support the goals of a strong liberal arts education, and be willing to explore with students the integration of the Christian faith and learning.
