Indiana Tech seeks to fill a graphic designer position at our main campus in Fort Wayne, Indiana. This position will support the Marketing Department in graphic design.The graphic designer creates a wide range of complex, original graphic concepts and develops them through final artwork as needed for print, digital (including email, web, and social media), and other uses. This position requires extensive knowledge of graphic design principles, design software, and printing processes, versatility in design style, and the ability to think creatively within limited time constraints, juggle projects, and communicate effectively with campus clients, colleagues, and vendors. The Graphic Designer is primarily responsible for designing collateral material to support initiatives, including but not limited to brochures, viewbooks, recruiting materials, promotional information, environmental graphics, and email campaigns.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Creative with the ability to make designs from scratch
- Participate in developing bid requests, analyzing and selecting vendors
- Maintain archive system for printed and digital collateral materials
- Maintain brand consistency and tone throughout designs
- Communicate with university personnel and outside sources to accomplish project objectives
- Good time management and multitasking skills in executing projects
- Ability to work collaboratively and maintain high standards when working independently
- A proven track record of continuous improvement through seeking constructive criticism, experimentation, and ambition
- Conceptualize and develop university-wide advertising campaigns to meet objectives and strategy and to target established audiences; develop strategies, goals, and concepts for publications, campaigns, and events
- Establish production schedules and priorities to meet deadlines. Monitor and track projects to ensure quality and timely completion
- Partner closely with web, social, and editorial teams on a multitude of projects
- Working knowledge of offset web and digital printing techniques and the ability to create artwork/final files that meet printers’ requirements
- Ensures visual continuity between digital (including email, web, social media) and print design
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in graphic design or equivalent experience
- Extensive working knowledge of design software, including Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop), and demonstrated ability to use that software to create print and digital projects
- Portfolio demonstrating excellence in graphic design and strong understanding and application of art direction
- Must have strong design acumen and creative concepting
- Interpersonally savvy with strong listening skills
- Action-oriented with the ability to prioritize
- Open to feedback with the ability to take direction
- Ability to develop and effectively creative concepts that appeal to a broad range of constituent groups from 16-year-old prospective students to 80-year-old alumni
- Experience with Microsoft Office suite – Word, Excel and PowerPoint – is helpful

Experience
- Two to five years of prior graphic design or equivalent combination of education and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities have been achieved.
