Our company is growing! We are seeking a Transcription preferably with knowledge in the healthcare field.

• Research Data Group’s Beacon HCI division is designed to save corporate healthcare payers millions of dollars utilizing a proprietary software tool developed with years of research and knowledge of Federal Billing Guidelines and Regulations in the healthcare industry.

The primary task of this position will be to enter medical data from a UB04 and Itemized Statement into an Electronic Data Collection System.  Transcriptionist will be utilizing a built-in Optical Character Recognition (OCR) tool to convert documents. The employee will transcribe itemized statements and UB04 documents daily and will be responsible for Quality Assurance. Position will also be requesting, obtaining and uploading documents from medical facilities.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Monitor data system/portal work queue for incoming claims ready to transcribe
2. Utilize portal to log into system transcribe work queue
3. Manually transcribe UB04 and detailed Itemized Statement
4. Utilize OCR (option) process to transcribe the itemized statement
5. Perform quality check for accuracy of transcription
6. Utilize click throughs to confirm data entry
7. Maintain compliance with HIPAA and other Security Requirements
8. Obtain medical documents from facilities
9. Utilize fax/scan/email to upload documents into system
10. Perform other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

1. Ability to type 50 WPM with accuracy
2. Excellent communication skills
3. Excellent time management
4. High level of self-motivation and attention to detail
5. Ability to work independently
6. Correcting omissions or inconsistencies found
7. Reviewing and keeping updated on data entry instructions for all account specifics
8. Working knowledge of computers and proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel
9. Must be accurate and detail oriented.
10. Strong team building skills
11. Certified Medical Transcriptionist (CMT) is not required but considered a plus

Experience and Education

• A High School Graduate
• Two or more years of experience in data entry
