Position Summary:

The Aesthetician is responsible for providing quality, professional service in the administration of skincare, waxing and make-up for The Spa and Salon.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Arrive 30 minutes before scheduled shift and stop by the front desk to check in.
  • Perform Opening & Closing procedures as instructed.
  • Maintain professional decorum and image at all times.
  • Greet Members /Guests respectfully and on time.
  • Explain proper draping and disrobing to Member.
  • Describe procedure of treatment to Member/Guest prior to giving the service.
  • Follow code of ethics for all services provided as outlined in manual.
  • Perform all treatments in a consistent manner according to the procedures set forth by the skincare manual and trainers.
  • Must be proficient in all components of skincare; i.e. anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, etc.
  • Does not prescribe, diagnose or suggest ailments
  • Does not solicit personal clients, house call or the selling of personal products. 
  • Promotes and sells spa approved facial and body products.
  • Refrain from discussing company or personal business with guests or members
  • Review Daily Sales Summary of member services rendered for correct information. Corrections to be forwarded to spa director in a timely manner as it relative to treatment change & providers pay.
  • Clean and re-stock treatment rooms and massages /skincare rooms.
  • Help maintain the common area and relaxation room; regularly check new memos in sign-in notebook located at spa front desk.
  • Must be able to tolerate a close-knit environment with constant co-work involvement.
  • Maintain availability and dedication to The Spa and Salon at St Andrews, being available to work as needed including weekends, holidays and evenings
  • Be a team player by providing assistance as necessary to other spa staff members & management.

Qualifications

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

  • Valid Florida State Licensed Skincare Specialist.

Education & Work Experience Requirements:

  • Knowledge of additional therapies desired.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Current CPR certification preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years minimum experience at a country club, hotel or spa setting.

State of Florida Licensed Skincare Specialist.

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to lift up to 50lbs.
  • Able to stand for a long period of time (up to average 8-hour shifts)
  • Frequent bending, pushing, pilling, and kneeling.
  • Frequent walking
  • Must be able to sit, stand, crouch, stoop and knell when assisting Members with their needs.
