Job Summary:

The Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Supervisor supports the property maintenance teams in HVAC diagnostics, troubleshooting, replacing and in the installation of HVAC equipment. They repair and monitor all AC-related issues and ensure the inventory is stocked and tracked. This is a centralized role that reports to the Operations Manager.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Performs troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of HVAC mechanical systems.
  • Performs preventative maintenance to increase lifespan of HVAC systems.
  • Installs, replaces HVAC equipment including, but not limited to ductwork, attic and/or vertical splits (gas or heat pump), rooftop package units (gas or heat pump).
  • Maintains proper stock, parts, tools, and safety equipment in the vehicle.
  • Maintains good working order of company-owned vehicle(s).
  • Travels to job sites in the service area, and work with dispatch to ensure the schedule is maintained and delays are properly communicated to the residents.
  • Designs duct systems for optimal comfort and efficiency.
  • Participates in company-provided training opportunities on customer service and the latest industry technologies.
  • Lead and mentor HVAC teams by providing hands-on guidance, technical training, and support to ensure high-quality workmanship and adherence to project requirements storage facilities
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: High school Diploma or GED equivalence

Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of HVAC service experience, including diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving diverse HVAC system issues, along with experience in a lead, supervisory, or managerial role overseeing an HVAC team.

License/Certification: Valid Texas driver’s license and current automobile insurance, EPA 608 Certification Type I and Type II. Current Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) HVAC License preferred.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to use basic computer and smartphone skills
  • Ability to take initiative, be self-motivated and results-driven
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow safety procedures
  • Ability to read, write and speak in English and Spanish fluently
  • Ability to lift, push, pull and carry required objects at least 50 pounds
  • Effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Must always demonstrate professional and respectful behavior
  • Strong customer service orientation, and excellent teamwork skills
  • Skilled in troubleshooting and repairing all types of HVAC systems, equipment, and elements
  • Knowledge of the practices, methods, materials, and equipment used in the maintenance and repair of HVAC equipment and control systems
  • Ability to work independently, and manage time efficiently, making sure service requests are completed in a timely manner
