SMI - Brake Press Operator 1

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour 

Job description: Press Brake Operators Night Shift (7:30pm - 6:00am)

Anchor Fabrication, a precision metal fabrication company located in Lavergne, Tennessee is seeking experienced Press Brake Operators for 1stshift.
Qualified candidates will be self-motivated and work with limited supervision setting up and operating Press Brake to bend, form and straighten metal stock to blueprint or specifications.

Duties and Functions:

Physical Requirements With or Without Accommodation

• Set up and operate all machine types in the Brake Department.
• Read blueprints and conduct first/last piece inspection.
• Apply knowledge of metal properties to bending operations.
• Perform clerical and labor reporting duties.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• May be required to work overtime or different shift than originally assigned based on company needs.
• Other duties as assigned.

Experience and Qualifications:

• 2 years experience in the sheet metal fabrication industry REQUIRED
• Blueprint reading
• Caliper and measuring skills
• Good math skills
• G/D & T Knowledge
• Amanda and Trumpf Brake experience a plus

Education:

• High School or Equivalent
• Technical School is a plus
