Job Purpose
This position is responsible for managing the site construction of synthetic turf sport fields for athletic complexes. Multiple state travel is required to manage subcontractors, project costs, and turf installations.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Attend all meetings for assigned fields
- Keep progress moving on the construction site
- Ensure all sites are safe and following OSHA regulations
- Maintain an honest and professional relationship with the owners of all projects assigned
- Order and inventory all materials delivered to site
- Ensure any grading is at its right elevation and slope
- Solve all problems in a quick but correct manor so quality is maintained
- Ensure everything in the scope of work is being done correctly and at its highest quality
- Review all plans and address any detail that may be incorrect or contradict our scope of work
- Order erosion control, fabric, drainage pipe, fittings, sports equipment (goal posts, soccer goals, etc.), turf, sand, and rubber
- Check subgrades to be sure the elevations are correct before construction crew arrives on site
