POSITION SUMMARY:

 

The IT Analyst is responsible for the network structures and databases that allow Tsay Corporation to run efficiently and effectively. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Administration and oversight of network design, implementation, organization and troubleshooting.
  • Providing technical support in managing network hubs, routers, and servers.
  • Installing, Configuring, and maintaining operating systems on servers and workstations.
  • Monitoring network performance, troubleshooting connectivity issues, and managing network security.
  • Implementing and managing data backup procedures to prevent data loss.
  • Planning and executing upgrades to new and existing hardware, software systems and IT projects.
  • Coordinating with IT vendors for hardware and software maintenance and support.
  • Ensures stable operation of the network and databases by consistently scheduling and implementing updates and functionality tests; identifies and resolves any issues that are identified during the testing process.
  • Monitor underlying communication protocols and supporting network hardware and software.
  • Update and maintain databases such as SQL Server and Microsoft Access.
  • Analyzes and recommends software and hardware to maximize productivity for all networks.
  • Data base management knowledge.
  • Network administration skills with active directory.
  • Train Staff on Cyber Security policies.
  • Create and maintain documentation for systems, processes, and troubleshooting guides
  • Conduct system audits and ensure compliance with company policies and security standards.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Strong understanding of computer hardware and software
  • Proficiency in network administration and troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of data entry skills and experience using current computer software applications.
  • Knowledge of operating systems such as Windows or macOS
  • Organized with attention to detail.
  • Excellent analytical, logical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Must be available after hours to provide IT Support as needed.
  • Layer 1 cable management and routing.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technologies or minimum of 3 years related experience.
  • Each complete year of accredited college education in a related field may be substituted for the equivalent number of years of required experience.

 

COMMUNICATION SKILLS

  • Must have the ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, managers, and staff members.
