POSITION SUMMARY:

 The Slot Technician II promotes a positive customer experience by repairing and monitoring the performance of the slot machines to ensure the games are operational.  Assist patrons and associates in resolving immediate problems such as coin jams, tilts, jackpots, player tracking on-line problems, and replaces parts in a prompt and courteous manner and according to established policies, procedures, regulations and ordinances

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Responsible for up keeping of all slot machines i.e. maintenance and cleaning
  • Responsible for manuals, parts, tools, and other equipment needed to perform job
  • Keeping abreast of all new repair methods and training’s available
  • Maintain good record filing systems of maintenance performed on machines
  • Ensure policies and internal controls are followed at all times
  • Responsible for inventory and ordering parts as needed
  • Will perform all floor duties i.e. hopper fills when needed
  • Ensure customer service when needed
  • Must maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times
  • Performing machine payouts and jackpots
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Responsible for Gaming Devise Machine Entry Authorization Log, Gaming Device Access key, Gaming Device Drop Key (escorted by Security Officer from the time key is issued until the time the key is returned), Gaming Device Bill Validator Key (escorted by Security Officer from the time key is issued until the time the key is returned)
  • Perform slot machine setup/configuration as required
  • Responsible to provide excellent guest service to all guest, externally and internally
  • Perform duties of Slot Attendant, when applicable

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

High school graduate or equivalent, at least one (1) year experience in working with machines or related field.  Must be 21 years of age.

SKILLS:

Knowledge of machine pay tables and machine functions, basic knowledge of tools and their applications, ability to be trained and adapt to changes as they occur. Must possess good written and oral communication skills and basic knowledge of computers

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: N/A

EQUIPMENT TO BE USED: Corded and cordless drills, socket wrenches, soldering iron, stand jack, multi-meter, small hand tools, e-prom chips, SD cards, and other miscellaneous hand tools.

PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS:

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and exercise good judgment in evaluating situations and taking effective action. Communicate and present ideas effectively orally.  While performing duties of this position, employee is required to stand and walk for extended periods, and use hands to; finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.  Occasionally sit.  Must be able to lift 75 pounds with occasional lifting of more than 200 pounds, assisted.  Ability to manage stress appropriately, make decisions under pressure, manage anger, fear, hostility and violence of others appropriately.  Walking and standing 85% - 90% of shift.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Ability to work in casino environment, in the midst of noise,  crowded situations, etc.
