Erie Family Health Centers, a nationally recognized top workplace with 13 sites in Chicago and suburbs, is looking for a valuable addition to our Business Intelligence Team! The position is responsible for leading Erie Family Health Centers’ Data strategy to support the vision of all people living their healthiest lives. The Director of Enterprise Data has primary responsibility for setting the strategy for the availability of accurate, consumable data and analytics for a range of end-users.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Drives strategy and operational planning/ execution for data architecture, database administration, data integration and data services platforms for Erie Family Health Center with a team of technical developers.
  • Develops and leads data governance strategy and committee to assure integrity, security, prioritization, and shared definition/ documentation of data and analytics shared across Erie. 
  • Develops and implements strategy for data presentation and analytics tools, develops skills and confidence within team and throughout organization with these tools.
  • Works with external partners, including ACO’s, Public Health systems, and local collaborators to intake and share data in a compliant manner to support health equity across the Chicagoland region.
  • Support and develop a team of analysts to draft reports and deliver statistical analysis that provides management teams with the tools to make business and clinical decisions.

 

Qualifications

Required:

  • BA/BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, Analytics or related field with 3 years of progressive professional experience in data strategy and governance; OR
  • Associate degree or two years of college, with 6 years of progressive professional experience in data strategy and governance; OR
  • High school diploma or equivalent, with 8 years of progressive professional experience in data strategy and governance.

 

Preferred:

  • Master's level graduate degree highly desirable.

 

Skills and Knowledge

Experience:

Required:

  • Ability to work independently to organize work in a manner that ensures accuracy and efficiency.
  • Three (3) years of experience or understanding of Relational Databases and data mining, SQL Server Reporting Services and SQL Server Business Intelligence Development Studio.
  • One (1) year of experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in hands-on management roles of decision support, analytics, and application development required, two (2) years preferred 
  • Experience managing complex BI projects

 

Preferred:

  • One (1) year of experience with health care is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Epic and Epic reporting a plus. 
  • Experience with ambulatory care and/or safety net health care is a plus.
  • Familiarity with other data, analytic and reporting tools.
  • Supervisory skills or experience strongly preferred.
