Position Summary

As a Universal Banker, you'll be the first point of contact for many of our customers— in this role, you will demonstrate service non-negotiables, assist customers with everyday banking needs, support daily branch operations, and help connect customers with the right financial solutions.

 

A Universal Banker's responsibilities include:

  • Greet and welcome customers in a friendly and professional manner
  • Opening, closing, and performing maintenance on personal and business accounts.
  • Process teller transactions (deposits, withdrawals, payments, etc.) accurately and efficiently.
  • Provide accurate information to customers based on product and service knowledge.
  • Educate customers on digital tools such as online and mobile banking.
  • Build relationships by identifying customer needs and offering appropriate solutions.
  • Assist customers with tasks like enrolling in direct deposit or ordering checks.
  • Refer customers to other departments (e.g., lending, mortgage, financial planning) when necessary.
  • Participate in Core Bank’s training and development programs to enhance banking knowledge and career growth.
  • Uphold the bank’s professional image through appearance, communication, and service.
  • Comply with all applicable bank policies, procedures, laws, and regulations.
  • Perform additional clerical duties such as filing, scanning, or data entry as needed.
  • Occasionally lifting and carrying items up to 50 lbs (e.g., coin boxes, supplies).
  • Regular Attendance Required

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to manage cash and transactions accurately.
  • Commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
  • High level of professionalism
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Basic math skills
  • Other duties, responsibilities, or activities that are required of the employee may be assigned
