SUPERVISOR: Director of Adult Services

WAGE RANGE: $60,000 - $70,000 annual

FLSA CLASSSIFICATION: Exempt / Salary / Full Time 

 

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Keshet House Manager will ensure the development and delivery of services designed to further the independence of the residents. The House Manager is responsible for the coordination of resident daily lives, all house logistics and maintenance, management of DSPs (Direct Support Professional) and parent/guardian communication. Will perform functions to ensure the residence is well run, the staff are properly trained, supervised and monitored, ensuring that residents receive the necessary support and services. The House Manager will provide leadership by demonstrating a strong work ethic, solution-oriented thinking, open mindedness, active listening, good judgment, decisiveness, accountability and strategic thought. The House Manager will provide both direct support (DSP) hours and management hours.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide supervision of Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) and House Lead DSP.
  • Assist with residential and personal care and covering staff absences.
  • Case Management services include, but are not limited to, clinical documentation: resident monthlies, drill logs, communication logs, medication logs, incident reports, and safety reports.
  • Ensures residents' safety, health, and well-being by responding to emergencies and crises.
  • Collaborate with the Nurse to ensure documentation and compliance with required medical/dental/personal care appointments. Help with appointments if and when needed.
  • Collaborate with BCBA, manager, and program director to ensure compliance with Behavior Support Plans.
  • Conduct a QA check on Emar at least weekly or as needed.
  • Review monthly environmental reviews once completed by DSPs.
  • Complete residents’ attendance in Therap for CILA billing.
  • Review policies and procedures with DSP.
  • Oversee Therap to ensure all staff are writing t-logs, tracking goals, and filling out applicable incident reports.
  • Provide families weekly updates on residents.
  • Work with QIDP to ensure residents' information is up-to-date in Therap.
  • Complete the required documentation into the agency electronic record system (Therap) and ensure staff is trained.
  • Oversees staff and resident schedules.
  • Provide weekday on-call services and participate in a weekend on-call rotation.
  • Maintain and oversee homes’ expenses within budgetary guidelines.
  • Oversees cleanliness, upkeep, and maintenance of home and vehicles.
  • Provide opportunities, education, and encouragement for residents to make informed choices regarding their lives and choices for growth and development based on individual interests, preferences, and input.
  • Ensure access to community resources.
  • Encourage individuals to take ownership in maintaining their environment.
  • Provide residents emotional support, social guidance, and positive role modeling.
  • Assist in managing residents’ financials, including but not limited to trips to the bank, counting currency, managing receipts, and recordkeeping.
  • Safeguard individuals’ belongings and regularly update individual inventories.
  • Maintain regular communication with parents/guardians.
  • Pursue and keep abreast of current trends, methods, and practices in the field.
  • Participate in a variety of committee and staff meeting groups.
  • Participate in annual resident meetings.
  • Participate in quarterly quality assurance reviews.
  • Participate in monthly Keshet Manager meetings.
  • The House Manager is expected to uphold the Mission & Values of Keshet.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Two or more years of management and supervisor experience required.
  • Three or more years of experience working directly with people with developmental disabilities.
  • Bachelor's degree in a Human Services or related field required.
  • QIDP and/or DSP Certification preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written skills are essential.
  • Strong organizational skills, capable of performing multiple tasks at once.
  • Computer fluency (Internet, Word Processing, Organizational tools).
  • Basic money management and budgeting skills.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Clear State Police History and Clear Health Care Worker Registry background check.
  • Valid Driver’s License and insurance.
  • Must be able to lift and transfer adults (50lbs.)
