Summary: 
The Wholesale Account Specialist will support the sales team with the domestic market and controlled brands. This role will be crucial in ensuring seamless support throughout the sales cycle. This role links sales, marketing, and the legal department to enhance customer satisfaction, maintain compliance, and ensure operational efficiency. The Wholesale Account Specialist is pivotal in supporting all levels of sales management and must have a clear understanding of the wholesale business.  

Reports to: Director of Private Label & Export Sales 
Classification: Full-Time, Exempt 
Compensation: $68.6k - $70k 
Location: 100% onsite at Napa, CA headquarters

You Will: 

  • Support the budgeting and forecasting of sales revenue and budgets for Core Distributors and Wholesale.
  • Partner with the legal department to ensure compliance with all state, federal and local regulations (including TTB, ABC), registrations, and all other governmental regulatory offices
  • Ensure resolution to customer issues by coordinating with Wholesale and National Sales Team. 
  • Act as the point of contact for distributors with questions on POs, shipments, Compliance, etc.
  • Maintain the run rate database to support the Planning and Procurement departments. 
  • Continually monitor inventory levels to ensure the planning department is always updated. 
  • Coordinate online applications for direct and chain accounts. 
  • Ensure the processing of credit bill backs are successfully processed
  • Act as the focal point for price changes and compliance to maintain the wholesale price sheet. 
  • Provide distributors with POs and marketing digital assets. 
  • Partners with the Director to investigate and resolve service issues associated with assigned accounts.
  • Work directly with diverse departments, including Warehouse, Fleet, and Shipping to resolve all shipping issues. 
  • Organize the distribution of customer samples to support the sales team.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

You Have: 

  • Two years’ minimum experience in wine wholesale
  • Proficient Microsoft Office programs including Excel and Word. 
  • Microsoft Dynamics NAV – BC experience preferred
  • Able to balance day-to-day tasks with special projects to meet deadlines in a fast-paced & collaborative environment.
  • Excellent verbal communication as well as interpersonal skills
  • Extreme attention to detail 
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of different teams and committees

Physical Demands and Working Conditions: 

  • While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk and talk or hear.
  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
  • As required to meet global customer needs, fulfill job duties outside of normal business hours
