As part of our commitment to excellence in customer service and operational efficiency, we are seeking a reliable and skilled Logistics Coordinator to join our team. This position plays a crucial role in facilitating communication between our branch network, CDL drivers, and customers.

 

Summary:

The Logistics Coordinator plays a critical role in coordinating and executing logistics operations at the branch level. Reporting to the Regional Dispatcher, this position supports driver scheduling, fleet routing, service call coordination, and communication with customers. The Logistics Coordinator ensures an efficient, accurate, and safe logistics process that enables high service levels, timely deliveries, and optimized dispatch performance.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Driver & Route Coordination:
    • Assist with truck scheduling and route planning in collaboration with the Regional Dispatcher.
    • Maintain ongoing communication with drivers to monitor progress and adjust routes as needed.
    • Schedule and track truck maintenance and inspections.
  • Dispatch & Customer Communication:
    • Serve as a secondary point of contact for field units and customers regarding deliveries, pickups, and service calls.
    • Respond to inbound customer inquiries in a timely, professional manner.
    • Communicate scheduling changes, delivery ETAs, and service follow-ups.
  • Administrative Support:
    • Input and maintain order data in dispatch and inventory systems.
    • Record all calls and key customer touchpoints in CRM tools (e.g., OmniView, Spiro).
    • Manage and track fuel inventory, PPE stock, and purchase orders.
    • Support contract close-outs, rental billing cycles, and invoice reconciliation.
  • Yard & Fleet Readiness:
    • Coordinate with yard team to ensure units are prepped and ready for scheduled deliveries.
    • Assist with inventory management for trucks, supplies, and other operational needs.
  • Service Call Management:
    • Log, prioritize, and dispatch service calls based on urgency and availability.
    • Ensure proper documentation and customer communication regarding service visits.
  • Safety & Compliance:
    • Uphold safety protocols across all logistics activities.
    • Monitor DOT and local regulations and ensure compliance.
    • Participate in all required safety meetings and training.

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in dispatch, logistics coordination, or customer service within transportation or similar industry.
  • Proficiency with logistics platforms such as OmniView, HubSpot, Samsara, or related systems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Working knowledge of DOT regulations and delivery routing best practices.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certifications in logistics or dispatch preferred.
