Key Responsibilities
- Assist physical therapists and physical therapist assistants during therapy sessions as directed.
- Prepare patients and treatment areas before therapy begins.
- Set up, clean, and store therapy equipment and supplies safely.
- Observe and report patient performance and response to treatment to the supervising therapist.
- Safely transport or assist patients with ambulation within inpatient and outpatient treatment areas.
- Ensure patient safety through proper use of lifts, safety belts, and body mechanics.
- Measure and adjust assistive devices such as crutches, walkers, or canes for proper patient fit.
- Maintain department cleanliness and safety standards.
- Assist in maintaining accurate patient schedules and documentation.
- Communicate clearly and respectfully with patients, families, and staff.
- Demonstrate professional phone etiquette and provide accurate messaging when needed.
Job Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma or GED
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
Preferred:
- Prior patient care or rehabilitation experience
- Participation in continuing education or in-service training programs

- Status: Non-Exempt
- Schedule: Full-time; shift and hours may vary based on departmental needs
- Reports To: Director of Rehabilitation Services
- Pay Range: Competitive and based on experience
