Job Summary

Assess, diagnose, and treat communication and swallowing disorders; complete timely documentation; educate patients/families; and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team across inpatient and outpatient settings.

Assess, diagnose, and treat communication and swallowing disorders; complete timely documentation; educate patients/families; and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team across inpatient and outpatient settings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct evaluations and develop treatment plans for speech, language, voice, fluency, cognitive-communication, and dysphagia.
  • Perform and interpret Modified Barium Swallow studies; plan therapy based on results.
  • Educate patients/families; provide staff in-services on communication/swallow issues; track outcomes/quality data.
  • Document charges and clinical progress accurately; participate in performance improvement.

Job Qualifications

Required

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology; Arkansas SLP license; Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP); BLS.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Preferred

  • Experience with adult neuro, pediatrics, or acute care; comfort with EHR/EMR.

Compensation & Schedule

  • Status: Full-time
  • Schedule: Weekdays; occasional flexibility based on caseload
  • Pay: Competitive salary; details during interview
