Job Summary: Manage OPE National distributor accounts and National/Regional end users to sell/buy Makita Outdoor Power Equipment and tools. Duties include developing/court/maintaining key relationships with decision makers. Engage dealers and end users with product demos. Responsibilities also include strategic account planning, forecasting, and driving overall customer profitability and sales growth.
Salary: $96,800.00 - $139,300.00 per year plus bonus potential

- Assigned or targeted end National or regional end users.
- Assigned National, Regional distributor(s), dealers.
- Compile, prioritize and report lists of prospective/targets for key sales activity.
- Write, present, and implement unique programs.
- Coordinate with field sales teams.
- Conduct program and product training.
- Schedule key update meetings, and any other meetings as required.
- Advance and support appropriate end-user key contacts and decision makers.
- Display and demonstrate Makita products including.
- Provide expertise and support regarding pricing, quoting, credit terms, orders, and other sales support.
- Perform business reporting functions, sales, account updates and monthly reports
- Provide input to the Marketing Department.
- Distribute to the Makita marketing department for collateral materials.
- Coordinate, schedule, and execute customer support events.
- Manage co-op and/or advertising budgets for each key account if needed.
- Investigates and resolves key account issues and concerns.
- Stay abreast and report market conditions, changes/competitor activities within the industry.
- Manage Makita’s assets such as vehicles, demo tools, marketing materials, product samples, etc.
- Perform all company functions per federal, state and municipal laws and per company policies.

Supervisory Responsibility This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
This position will require work in various remote settings and at corporate Makita facilities from time to time.
Travel
Travel required for meetings, product demos, training seminars, trade shows, and end user presentations.
Education, Skills, and Experience Needed:
- Post high school degree in relevant field and/or related field experience required.
- Management Experience in Multi-Level Organization preferred.
- 3 years prior work experience as National Account Manager or Marketing Management.
- 5 – 10 years prior experience in the “green industry” or similar field.
Employment Requirements:
- Must be at least 21 years of age at the time of employment.
- Valid driver's license
- Safe driving record
- The employee must be able to safely operate a moving vehicle per our company policy.
- Must be able to travel extensively by car in the assigned region and by air on occasion for up to 70% of the time.
