Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of fabrication techniques in Tig, Mig, Arc Welding, and machinery operation.
- Ability to read and write English and interpret technical documents, blueprints, and schematics.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and practices.
- Proficiency in the use of hand and power tools, as well as oxy-acetylene torch and plasma cutter.
- Attention to detail and precision in food manufacturing processes.
- Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Physical stamina and strength to handle heavy materials and equipment.
- High school diploma or equivalent (additional technical training or certification is a plus).
- Previous experience in a fabrication manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Welding or machining certification may be required, depending on the industry.
Working Conditions:
- Fabricators typically work in a shop or factory environment, which may involve exposure to noise, heat, and fumes from welding or machinery.
- Protective gear such as gloves, goggles, and safety clothing is necessary.
