Fiber Technician Level 1

Job Overview 

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Level 1 Fiber Technician to join our dynamic team. This entry-level position is perfect for individuals passionate about technology and interested in gaining hands-on experience in fiber optic installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Install, terminate, and splice fiber optic cables for residential and commercial projects. 

• Perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance of fiber optic networks. 

• Assist in conducting site surveys and reading technical schematics. 

• Maintain a clean and organized worksite and ensure compliance with safety standards. 

• Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and with high quality. 

• Operate and maintain tools and equipment, including OTDRs and fusion splicers.

Schedule 

• Full-time position with weekday hours. Weekend and overtime availability may be required based on project needs. 

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required. 

• Strong interest in technology and willingness to learn fiber optic systems. 

• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift up to 50 pounds. 

• A valid driver’s license and clean driving record are required. 

• A basic understanding of tools and cable installation is preferred but not required. Training will be provided.
