We’re seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Salesforce Administrator to lead the optimization and management of our Salesforce platform. In this pivotal role, you'll oversee user access, ensure data integrity, develop custom reports and automated workflows, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver tailored, high-impact solutions. You’ll also manage third-party integrations and stay ahead of platform updates and best practices to drive continuous improvement. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise in Salesforce administration, a knack for problem-solving, and excellent communication skills - prior experience in a manufacturing environment and relevant certifications are a plus.

 

Essential Functions

  • Administer, configure, and maintain the Salesforce platform, ensuring system stability and efficiency. 

  • Manage user roles, profiles, permissions, and security settings. 

  • Create and customize reports, dashboards, workflows, and automation processes to support business operations. 

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather business requirements and implement tailored solutions. 

  • Evaluate, select, and manage AppExchange solutions and third-party integrations that align with business needs. 

  • Perform complex data management tasks, including importing, exporting, and updating large volumes of data using Salesforce Data Loader and other tools. 

  • Provide training and support to end-users to maximize adoption and system effectiveness. 

  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in Salesforce and related integrations. 

  • Ensure data integrity by conducting regular audits, data cleansing, and deduplication. 

  • Stay up-to-date with Salesforce updates, releases, and best practices to drive innovation. 

  • Work closely with IT and business teams to align Salesforce strategies with company objectives. 

Qualifications

Required Skills/Abilities 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). 

  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience as a Salesforce Administrator, preferably in a manufacturing environment. 

  • Salesforce Administrator certification (ADM-201) required; Advanced Administrator certification is a plus. 

  • Proven experience managing third-party Salesforce integrations. 

  • Strong understanding of Salesforce best practices, data management, and security. 

  • Proficiency in configuring workflows, process automation, validation rules, and reports. 

  • Experience with third-party Salesforce integrations and AppExchange applications. 

  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. 

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Experience with the following systems is a plus: Salesforce Lightning Experience, Service Cloud, and Sales Cloud, Apex, Visualforce, and SOQL.  

  • Understanding of ERP and manufacturing system integrations is a plus. 

  • Familiarity with marketing automation tools like Pardot or Marketing Cloud. 

 

Work Environment/Physical Demands/Travel 

This job operates in a professional business office or home office where standard office equipment is routinely used, such as computers, photocopy machines, fax machines, telephones and filing cabinets. 

This position is largely a sedentary role. Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.  Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities. 

 

This is a full-time position, on-site at our Roanoke, VA or St. Louis, MO office. A hybrid work format will be an option after training. The hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, 40 hours per week. An occasional shift in hours may be necessary to accommodate business needs.
