We are seeking a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor to join our Substance Use Disorder Services team. The general purpose of this position is to provide co-occurring substance abuse counseling services.
Essential Functions include:
- Conduct screening and intake assessments for new clients
- Conduct treatment planning
- Provide counseling (group, individual & family) to clients
- Provide case management services as needed such as resource planning, community referrals, etc.
- Provide crisis intervention to clients as needed
- Provide education to clients
- Consult with other professionals regarding client treatment and services; work as part of a collaborative team!
Qualifications include:
- Active LADC license in the State of MN with no restrictions
- Ability to document competence in screening for and working with mental health problems through a 12-hour education/training program and experience
- Must be free from problematic substance use for a period of no less than 2 years and be willing to sign attestation
- Certification in CPR and First Aid
Compensation & Benefits include:
- A starting wage of $58,000 annually
