We are seeking a Team Lead to join our Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Team. ACT is an intensive mental health service provided in a home or community setting. The Team Lead will provide leadership to this multidisciplinary team operating throughout our six-county service region in Central Minnesota (Aitkin, Cass, Crow Wing, Morrison, Todd, and Wadena).
Essential Functions include:
- Complete all leadership functions for ACT staff including but not limited to: recruitment and selection, onboarding, training, scheduling, providing direction, delegating assignments, providing evaluations, addressing employee concerns, and addressing employee performance issues
- Collaborate with Director of Operations, Clinical Director, and Human Resources to develop and enforce policies, procedures and protocols that protect the health and safety of clients and assure client needs are met
- Manage ACT budgets including but not limited to: expenses, revenues, grant funds, and contracts
- Manage daily operations of ACT programs in compliance with all state and federal regulations including but not limited to: standards of care, licensing and insurance, keeping up with and incorporating all state and federal regulations that impact applicable programs.
- Maintain and monitor all contracts, grants and additional funding sources and the required reporting requirements, ensuring to meet necessary timelines.
- Ensure appropriate documentation for clients is completed within necessary timelines, including by not limited to progress notes, evaluations, assessments, consents, treatment plans, crisis plans, and screenings.
- Train members of the team and other staff within the agency on processes required by policies, procedures, etc., as relevant to the program.
- Complete audits in collaboration with the Clinical Director to ensure program requirements are being met
- Lead the daily organizational staff meetings and treatment planning meetings; continuously evaluate the status of clients and do appropriate planning and coordination of treatment activities to ensure immediate attention to their changing needs.
- Review and approve staff documentation; Provide clinical supervision to the ACT Team.
- Direct and coordinate the client admission process and treatment.
- Direct and coordinate, for each client, the client-centered comprehensive assessment.
- Supervise medical records management assuring maintenance of the medical record in compliance with agency policies, Medicaid, and other third-party payment requirements; train staff on medical record requirements; regularly review client assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes written by the staff; and supervise individual staff for medical records mastery.
- Carry out and document quality-assurance activities and reviews of use of program services.
- Develop and maintain program policies and procedures and revise as necessary. Maintains fidelity standards according to the laws and recommendations made by the state of Minnesota lead agency in charge of ACT programs.
- Build relationships with community stakeholders such as law-enforcement, human-services agencies, and other community resources (e.g., landlords, employers).
- Perform on-call duty for crisis intervention and for staff supervision and consultation.
Qualifications include:
- Master’s Degree in the Behavioral Sciences field (i.e. Clinical Counseling, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, Marriage & Family Therapy, Social Work)
- A valid license in behavioral health without restrictions ( e.g. LICSW, LPCC, LP, LMFT, NP) in the State of MN
- Professional experience working with adults struggling with mental illness
- Competencies and ability to provide empirically supported psychotherapy to address a wide range of clinical and behavioral needs
- Valid Driver’s License and ability to travel for work purposes
Compensation & Benefits include:
- Wage Range: $74,000 - $90,000 annually, considering credentials and experience
