Position Summary

The CSR/Teller is a dual-role position that combines the responsibilities of a Customer Service Representative and Teller. This individual provides excellent customer service while assisting customers with account inquiries, opening and maintaining accounts, and performing routine financial transactions. The CSR/Teller builds strong customer relationships and promotes bank products and services.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide prompt, courteous, and professional customer service in person, by phone, or electronically.
  • Assist customers with opening new accounts, including checking, savings, CDs, and IRAs.
  • Process teller transactions including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and check cashing.
  • Balance cash drawer and adhere to all cash-handling procedures.
  • Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate products and services.
  • Respond to account inquiries and resolve customer issues effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with all bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with branch operations including vault duties, end-of-day balancing, and reporting.
  • Participate in sales initiatives and contribute to branch goals.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous banking, cash handling, or customer service experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
  • Proficient in basic computer skills and able to learn bank systems.

Working Conditions

  • Position requires prolonged periods of standing and occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
