Description

As a key member of the executive leadership team, the Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) at The Greenery, Inc. is responsible for the growth and retention of all revenue streams across Maintenance and Construction divisions. The CRO will oversee the full customer lifecycle—from initial marketing and lead generation to proposal, service execution, and long-term client satisfaction. This includes direct management of the Director of Business Development, Director of Client Services, and leadership over Marketing and Customer Service functions. This position reports directly to the CEO and will work cross-functionally with the CFO, and COO to ensure strategic alignment and profitability.

Responsibilities 

Revenue Growth Strategy 

  • Lead enterprise-wide efforts to grow top-line revenue across all divisions and geographies.  This includes new customer development and enhancement sales to existing customers. 

  • Identify and capitalize on new market opportunities, partnerships, and verticals 

  • Develop strategic plans to enhance bid win rates and client lifetime value 

  • Align business development, sales, marketing and customer success under a unified growth plan.  

Sales & Business Development 

  • Manage the Director of Business Development, and support team-wide sales execution 

  • Create and implement scalable sales processes, metrics, and accountability systems 

  • Oversee pricing strategy, estimating coordination, and proposal development 

Client Services & Retention 

  • Guide the Director of Client Services to strengthen relationships and improve retention 

  • Lead initiatives to elevate customer satisfaction, resolve issues, and drive referrals 

  • Align service delivery expectations with operations to ensure excellent client outcomes 

Marketing & Customer Service 

  • Own the company’s marketing strategy and execution, including branding, digital presence, and campaigns 

  • Oversee Customer Service functions to ensure responsiveness, client communication quality, and issue resolution 

  • Promote The Greenery’s brand as the leading service provider in its markets 

Data, Forecasting & Reporting 

  • Develop KPIs and dashboards to track revenue performance, client metrics, and pipeline health 

  • Partner with CFO to ensure accurate forecasting and ROI analysis on growth initiatives 

  • Report regularly to the CEO and executive team on progress against strategic revenue goals 

 

Revenue Operations Oversight 

  • Ensure systems, processes, and teams are aligned for efficient revenue operations. 

  • Implement and drive adoption of CRM software 

  • Drive the usage of CRM, sales enablement tools, and forecasting models. 

 

Required Skills/Abilities 

  • Proven track record of growing revenue in a multi-branch, service-based organization 

  • Strong leadership experience managing both sales and client-facing teams 

  • Strategic thinker with deep experience in marketing, sales operations, and customer experience 

  • Strong communicator and cross-functional collaborator 

  • Ability to use data and CRM systems to drive decisions and accountability 

  • Experience building and leading high-performing, distributed teams 

 

Education and Experience 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field (Master’s preferred) 

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in revenue leadership, sales, or business development 

  • Demonstrated experience leading client services and marketing functions 

  • Experience business to business sales 

 

Physical Requirements 

  • Frequent travel to branches, client sites, and industry events across the Southeast 

  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, and present for extended periods 

  • Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 15 pounds
