POSITION DETAILS

  • Hours: Up to 20 hours per week
  • Pay: Hourly, paid position
  • Duration: Through Fall 2025, with option to extend based on performance and project needs
  • Location: Hybrid; must be available for on-site content capture at clinics and events

PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES

The Digital Content Specialist Intern supports HealthPoint's marketing and communications initiatives through content development for digital platforms. Primary responsibilities include web content optimization and publishing, social media asset creation, and original multimedia content collection. This intern will play a hands-on role in shaping how HealthPoint communicates its mission and services to the public and internal stakeholders.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

  • Assist in gathering, verifying, and formatting written and visual content for HealthPoint’s new website
  • Optimize existing written content for SEO, clarity, and patient accessibility
  • Support site mapping and organizational structure for the new web platform
  • Upload and manage content within WordPress
  • Create original digital content, including video and photo assets, to support marketing campaigns
  • Film and edit short-form video and social content (e.g., reels, stories, provider intros)
  • Collaborate with departments to collect and organize patient- and provider-facing stories
  • Assist in the management of social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn)
  • Support implementation of digital listing management and reputation platforms
  • Learn and support use of Mailchimp and other CRM tools
  • Performs other duties as assigned - Effectively carries out tasks and responsibilities beyond core job duties and primary role. The additional duties may vary from time to time and encompass a wide range of activities that contribute to the overall success of the organization (floating, schedule variations, assisting co-workers, patients, visitors, customers, leaders, and other stakeholders in support of the organization.)

PROFESSIONAL/TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Required:
    • Basic knowledge of content writing and editing
    • Familiarity with Canva or similar design tools
    • Comfort interacting with staff and providers across multiple departments
  • Preferred:
    • Video shooting and editing experience (Instagram Reels, TikTok, etc.)
    • Previous experience with WordPress, Meta Business Suite, or Mailchimp

None required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Constant need for typing, writing, and working at a computer

Occasional walking and light lifting of equipment (<25 lbs)

Must be able to see detail and hear clearly for interviews and video recording.
