Sports Site WorkerChampaign Park District – Part-Time 2 (not to exceed 19 hours per week on average)


About the Job:Are you passionate about sports and enjoy working in a team environment? The Sports Site Worker plays an important role in keeping Champaign Park District sports leagues, programs, and facility rentals running smoothly. From supervising games and ensuring player safety to assisting with equipment and admissions, you’ll help create a positive and well-organized experience for participants and spectators alike.


Summary of Responsibilities:

  • Supervise assigned sports leagues, programs, and rentals
  • Assist with game setup and equipment storage
  • Check equipment and report issues promptly
  • Enforce Park District rules and policies to maintain a safe environment
  • Monitor facilities, restrooms, and cleanliness during shifts
  • Complete and submit incident/accident reports as needed
  • Work admissions or gate when assigned
  • Support staff, players, and patrons with professionalism and confidentiality
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 16 years of age. 
  • Ability to effectively communicate with the public. 
  • Knowledge of sports and scorekeeping practices. 
  • Availability to work nights and weekends.
