Description

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: (Position may include additional functions not listed)*

  • Monday – Friday work week on-site (non-negotiable)
  • Forecasts inventory needs based on business trends, purchases and manages inventory levels, and purchases equipment and special-order items.
  • Coordinates with over-seas vendors in all aspects of sourcing and purchasing (heavy emphasis)
  • Negotiates appropriate terms with vendors, resolves vendor product issues, and nurtures effective vendor relationships.
  • Acts as Sage 100 Software superuser and creates POs, processes inventory transfers and adjustments as needed.
  • Coordinates receiving of materials.
  • Oversees annual inventory count.
  • Assists with yard oversight and layout.
  • Collaborates with sales management on pricing and ensures company profitability.
  • Proposes strategies to reduce costs and manages supply chain logistics.

 

Qualifications

 QUALIFICATIONS: (Required knowledge, skills, abilities, education, experience, etc.)

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in Inventory Management or similar role
  • Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods
  • An analytical mind with strong math skills
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills

 PHYSICAL & OTHER REQUIREMENTS: (physical, environmental, travel, etc.)

  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Combination of office setting, production floor, and on occasion job sites
  • Availability to work additional hours or weekends as projects demand
  • Occasional travel may be required
