The Team:
Our Production Engineering Team is tasked with supporting all functions of daily operation within the factory, and providing support to our Operations teams.
The Role:
This position supports Manufacturing Engineering and Production by designing, integrating, and maintaining robotic technology used in the fabrication of electronic and electro-mechanical assemblies. It includes hands-on maintenance, process optimization, and mentoring peers in areas of robotics, maintenance, and production.
You will spend your time:
- Research, justify, and propose services and equipment procurement in collaboration with Engineering.
- Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives, with a focus on robotics integration.
- Program robotic systems for assembly, soldering, and inspection.
- Troubleshoot robotic and production equipment, including root cause analysis.
- Create and perform preventive maintenance routines for robotic equipment.
- Install and validate new equipment using appropriate protocols.
- Create and update standard work instructions related to robotic systems and processes.
- Lead and support special projects as assigned.
- Mentor peers in machine learning, robotics, and related processes.
- Provide day-to-day support for Production and Engineering teams.
- Collaborate with Production Leadership on layout and process improvements.
- Manage individual time and project responsibilities effectively.
- Apply analytical thinking to evaluate alternative solutions and resolve issues.
- Interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints.
- Ability to travel (car, plane, etc.) as needed
- Perform other activities as assigned
