Description

The Senior Director of Sales and Growth of Carpet Tech serves as a strategic "leader of leaders" responsible for driving aggressive revenue growth, developing marketing expansion strategies, and leading high-performing teams within the sales, marketing, customer experience, and community relations functions within the company. This role requires the creation and implementation of a cohesive strategy across all functions to drive growth across Carpet Tech's lines of business and elevate the company's brand. To this end, the Sr. Director of Sales and Growth will oversee all sales and pipeline development initiatives, identify and drive strategic partnerships, develop scalable systems for sustainable growth, and ensure that team leaders are supported and equipped to achieve success.

Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer, the Sr. Director of Sales and Growth will oversee the strategic sales leadership, the revenue generation and pipeline development, the operational excellence, the client and partner relationship management, and the team collaboration and development for the growth teams at Carpet Tech which include, but are not limited to, the business development team, the marketing team, the customer experience team, and the community relations and engagement team. 

Areas of Responsibility: 

Strategic Sales Leadership

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive Sales and Growth strategy aligned with Carpet Tech's broader goals and objectives. Act as a valuable thought partner to the business, working closely with the CEO and executive team to shape the company's long-term growth goals.
  • Ensure that the Sales and Growth function operates according to one cohesive strategy, where business development, marketing, customer experience, and community engagement teams understand the critical role they each play in success.
  • Maintain awareness of and consistently evaluate new markets, customer segments, and growth opportunities, both organically and through M&A. Anticipate change and ensure that the Sales and Growth strategy has contingencies for unexpected market disruptions.
  • Champion a customer-centric culture that prioritizes growth, cross-selling, and seamless alignment of marketing, sales, and service.

Revenue Generation & Pipeline Development

  • Drive a proactive, sales and service-oriented mindset across the function, encouraging every customer interaction to be leveraged as an opportunity to ask "what can we do for you?".
  • Equip and empower teams to engage both prospective and returning customers with confidence: overcoming objections, proposing tailored solutions, introducing new services, and positioning offerings in a consultative, value-driven way.
  • Create, implement, and oversee a customer referral program and other referral programs as appropriate.
  • Clearly communicate performance expectations for leaders, and implement KPI-driven performance management systems to monitor productivity and outcomes.
  • Leverage marketing and community partnerships to build robust lead pipelines through targeted campaigns, community events, digital strategies, referral channels, and strategic partnerships.

Operational Excellence

  • Leverage CRM and business intelligence tools to track KPls across all functions, forecast trends, and drive data-informed decisions.
  • Continuously analyze and optimize processes within marketing, sales, and customer experience functions. Focus specifically on the end-to-end sales processes to drive consistency from lead generation to close. Implement changes which drive efficiency, positive customer experience, and opportunities for cross-sell.
  • Collaborate with Operations and Finance functions at Carpet Tech to align capacity planning with sales activity and revenue forecasting.
  • Enhance visibility of Carpet Tech's full line of services through strategic, targeted marketing efforts, prioritizing high-yield, cost-effective marketing tools and initiatives.

Client & Partner Relationship Management

  • Cultivate long-term, trust-based relationships with key existing and prospective accounts, such as insurance adjusters, property managers, and other industry partners. As needed, re-engage strategic partners to generate consistent lead flow.
  • Develop a targeted outreach strategy which forges alliances with partners who could expand Carpet Tech's market reach and brand authority.
  • Grow and develop the capability and external visibility of the business development team. Delegate travel and relationship management responsibilities as needed while maintaining a strong supportive presence.
  • Serve as a face of Carpet Tech externally, traveling as needed to engage key clients, forge new partnerships, and support business growth efforts.

  • As a leader of leaders, build and align a high performing team with a shared commitment to Carpet Tech's values, service and support, problem solving, and collaboration.
  • Build structures for collaboration and efficient communication among a distributed team, ensuring it functions as "one team" that works towards shared goals and success.
  • Invest in the targeted development and training of leaders in light of the needs of the organization, ensuring these leaders are equipped to support their respective teams.
  • Create an internal team culture of accountability, results, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Education, Experience, and Skills Required

  • 1O+ years in sales leadership with a strong track record in revenue growth.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field required.
  • MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in B2B and B2C service industries. Direct experience in disaster restoration, construction, insurance, and facilities management is preferred.
  • Experience managing multi-regional or distributed teams.
  • Strong strategic thinking and execution capabilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Data-driven decision-making with advanced proficiency in CRM systems
