Description

The Visual Communications Director will be responsible for Social Media, Photography & Video, Website Management Graphic Design & Promotion, and Volunteering Training & Team Development.  

Primary Responsibilities

Social Media

- Develop and manage a content calendar for social media platforms.
- Create engaging posts that promote sermons, events, and church life.
- Monitor interaction, respond to messages and comments, and build online community.
- Analyze performance and adjust strategy accordingly.

Photography & Video (as needed)
- Capture and edit high-quality images and videos during Sunday services and special
events.
- Produce video content such as stories, announcements, and promotional pieces.
- Organize and archive digital assets for easy access and future use.

Website Management
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate content on the church website.
- Ensure consistency with the church’s voice, branding, and design.
- Coordinate with ministries to post events, resources, and announcements. - Address
functionality issues or escalate them to a web developer if needed.

Graphic Design (as needed) & Promotion
- Design graphics for sermons, events, social media, print, signage, and screens.
- Ensure brand consistency across all communications materials.
- Coordinate printing and production of promotional materials as needed.
- Support ministries in creating tailored visuals and communications.

Volunteer Training & Team Development
- Recruit and train volunteers to assist with photography, video, design, and social
media.
- Create a team schedule and oversee volunteer assignments.
- Provide feedback, encouragement, and spiritual leadership to team members.
- Host regular team check-ins or training sessions to improve skills and collaboration.

  • Fully committed to demonstrating characteristics that reflect a person of faith and a lifestyle of biblical integrity

Professional & Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Entry-level position in web design, multimedia, and digital marketing.
  • Fluency with social media.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required; experience in InDesign, Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and video-editing software is a definite plus.
  • A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in website maintenance and social media.
  • Excellent written and graphic communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, creativity, and knowledge of information technology.
  • Must demonstrate proficient knowledge of general terminology related to websites and social media.
  • Preferably needs to be skilled in photography, videography, and content editing.
  • Ability to establish priorities, multitask, and plan and monitor own work plan.
  • Demonstrate a strong willingness to learn and apply skills learned.
