Description

Purpose

This position is responsible for providing professional services for weld shop customers and agricultural equipment, ensuring the highest levels of safety, accuracy, and customer satisfaction. As part of the Grossenburg Implement team, you'll play a vital role in helping our customers maintain reliable equipment performance and contribute to our mission of delivering superior service and quality products.


Responsibilities

  • Repairs damaged metal parts and structures
  • Uses various welding techniques (e.g., MIG, arc, TIG)
  • Follows blueprints, sketches, and work orders
  • Performs brazing, soldering, and cutting
  • Maintains and repairs equipment
  • Fabricates metal parts and structures from scratch
  • Designs and prepares rough sketches of work to be completed
  • Compiles material lists
  • Fitting, setting, and installing fabricated structures
  • Repair, design, layout, and estimation
  • Accountable for billable time and assigned work orders
  • Accounts for all time and material used in performing assigned duties
  • Provides excellent customer service
  • Operates and maintains vehicles, tools and equipment required to perform job responsibilities
  • Maintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashion
  • Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments
  • Will perform other duties as assigned 
  • Minor repair work such putting new equipment together, fix broken equipment for the service department, replacing parts, wiring trailers, new axels, all new suspension work on trailers, brakes on semi-trailers
  • Hours for this position:
    • Winner store hours: Monday - Friday 7:30am - 5:30pm
    • Will work some Saturday mornings

Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge

  • Proficiency in different welding processes
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints
  • Knowledge of metal types and properties
  • Understanding of fabrication processes
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with attention to detail
  • Experience with the mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems used in off road, construction, lawn, or heavy equipment
  • Must have an adequate toolset to perform job responsibilities
  • Manual dexterity and a steady hand
  • Ability to use hand tools and other shop equipment
  • Basic safety knowledge and willingness to use protective clothing
  • Self-motivated
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to communicate with co-workers and team leaders
  • Attention to detail and a methodical approach
  • Ability to work under limited supervision
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with a degree of independence
  • Ability to use basic computer functions
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy objects up to 100 pounds
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience preferred 
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Must be able to drive forklift
