The Piedmont Family YMCA is thrilled to open the YMCA Early Learning Center at Sentara Martha Jefferson hospital in Charlottesville, Virginia. With a projected opening in January 2026, this brand new facility will house 10 classrooms serving 148 children, ages 6 weeks through Pre-K. We are looking for energetic, caring staff who are ready to join our team to make a difference in the lives of our littlest YMCA participants.
Â
The YMCA is thrilled to offer a cadet program that will provide full-time employment and training during the months leading up to the center's opening. This program is designed to allow employees to obtain the necessary experience to become Lead Teacher-certified by working at the current Early Learning Center at the Jefferson School.
Â
YMCA Early Learning Center teachers enjoy great full-time benefits including paid holidays and flexible PTO; medical, dental, and vision insurance options; employer-paid long-term disability and life insurance; retirement plan options with YMCA contributions after two years; free YMCA membership and program discounts; and more!
