Position: Front Desk Receptionist | Footprints to Recovery Elgin, IL |

Part-Time Thursday-Sunday 8:30am - 5pm |

The Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for patients entering treatment at our facility, providing a welcoming and professional presence. This role also acts as a liaison between patients, families, referral sources, friends, and community resources, ensuring smooth communication and support throughout the patient’s treatment journey.

Responsibilities:

  • Professionally answer and direct phone calls, ensuring clear and courteous communication.
  • Greet and assist visitors in a warm and professional manner, providing information and addressing inquiries as needed.
  • Redirect patients and visitors appropriately to support the efficiency and well-being of facility operations.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area and shared spaces at all times.
  • Operate and manage standard office equipment, including fax machines, copiers, and computers.
  • Accurately maintain visitor logs in accordance with company protocols.
  • Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail and deliveries efficiently.
  • Monitor office supplies, ensuring timely replenishment to support daily operations.
  • Scan and upload documents into the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system with accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Adhere to and uphold strict confidentiality standards, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Perform additional administrative duties as assigned to support the organization's operations.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required
  • 2-3 years of experience in an office or healthcare environment preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including the ability to create and maintain spreadsheets
  • Experience navigating Electronic Health Records (EHR) and managing patient charts.
  • Minimum typing speed of 35 words per minute
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English are required. Proficiency in additional languages is a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to remain professional, composed, and effective in fast-paced or high-pressure situations
  • Strong multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize tasks independently
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a customer-service-oriented approach
  • Dependable, punctual, and committed to maintaining a strong attendance record
