REQUIREMENTS:
Training and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Minimum of 1 year of data entry, medical records, or administrative experience in a healthcare or clinical environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.) and experience using EHR systems (eClinicalWorks preferred).
- Strong typing skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Basic understanding of databases.
- Experience entering data into a database.
Knowledge of:
- Electronic health records and data reporting.
- Knowledge of basic medical terminology and familiarity with HIPAA regulations.
- Knowledge of STD and PrEP/PEP.
Ability to:
- Communicate effectively with providers, other staff, and outside vendors. Must be well-organized and detail-oriented.
- Strong analytical and written communication skills in order to prepare complete and accurate program reports and records.
- Ability to organize workload or processes.
- Enter data in a timely manner with minimal errors in a high-volume environment.
- Maintain patient confidentiality.

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
This is primarily an office position that requires only occasional bending, reaching, stooping, lifting and moving of office materials weighing 25 pounds or less. The position requires daily use of a personal computer and requires entering, viewing, and revising text and graphics on the computer terminal and on paper.

Must possess a valid California driver’s license; proof of auto liability insurance; and have the use of a personal vehicle for work related purposes.
