Position Overview

The Storeroom Lead plays a key role in supporting the daily operations of The Storeroom—the heart of The Ozarker Lodge’s coffee, bar, retail, and breakfast offerings. This role exists to ensure smooth, consistent, brand-aligned operations through accurate inventory management, thoughtful ordering, quality control, and leadership over the breakfast team.

This position is operational and hands-on, helping maintain the standards, atmosphere, and guest experience that make The Ozarker Lodge unique.


Key Responsibilities

1. Food & Beverage Inventory & Ordering

  • Maintain accurate inventory counts for all Storeroom F&B items, including coffee, alcohol, mixers, breakfast items, and bar supplies.
  • Monitor par levels and place timely orders to ensure product availability without overstocking.
  • Receive deliveries, verify accuracy, and organize product storage using FIFO standards.
  • Track product usage and waste, communicating trends or concerns to the AGM and GM.
  • Ensure all products align with The Ozarker Lodge’s brand standards and guest expectations.

2. Breakfast Operations Leadership

  • Lead the daily breakfast service, ensuring setup, stocking, cleanliness, and guest experience expectations are met.
  • Train, guide, and support breakfast staff members in maintaining cleanliness, presentation, quality, and food safety compliance.
  • Ensure the breakfast area reflects The Ozarker’s brand—warm, tidy, organized, and consistently restocked.
  • Conduct daily checklists and monitor standards around sanitation, labeling, temperature logs, and closing procedures.
  • Assist with hiring, onboarding, scheduling, and performance oversight of breakfast staff.

3. Retail Inventory & Ordering

  • Manage inventory and ordering for all Storeroom retail products, including brand merchandise, snacks, beverages, and seasonal items.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and visually appealing displays that reflect The Ozarker Lodge brand aesthetic.
  • Work with leadership to ensure product mix, display style, and visual merchandising match current seasons, themes, and guest demand.
  • Communicate low stock, sales trends, and product performance to the AGM/GM.

4. Operational Support & Standards

  • Ensure The Storeroom’s storage, prep, and service areas remain clean, organized, and compliant with food safety regulations.
  • Maintain clear and accurate logs, checklists, inventory sheets, and delivery documentation.
  • Support Storeroom team members as needed during peak periods, including coffee service, bar support, or retail customer assistance.
  • Help create and implement updated procedures for inventory control, receiving, and storage.

5. Collaboration & Communication

  • Work closely with the Assistant General Manager and General Manager to communicate needs, inventory trends, staffing updates, and operational challenges.
  • Participate in regular team meetings and support property-wide initiatives and seasonal activations.
  • Foster a positive work environment that reflects the friendly, retro-modern hospitality ethos of The Ozarker Lodge.

 


 

Qualifications

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to lead a small team with patience, clarity, and consistency.
  • Basic knowledge of food safety and product handling (ServSafe a plus).
  • Must be able to work mornings; some weekends and holidays required.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods.
