As we grow, we're looking for a hands-on, experienced Director of IT to lead our internal technology team and manage systems across all locations.
Position Summary
The Director of Information Technology will oversee the day-to-day operations of the IT department, including IT support (Tier 1 & 2), systems and network administration, telecom, and vendor management. The ideal candidate has strong technical experience, leadership skills, and the ability to align technology with business needs.

Responsibilities
IT Operations & Leadership

Lead, mentor and manage the IT team, including support staff, system administrators, and telecom personnel.

Oversee IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, endpoints, and cloud-based systems.

Ensure timely resolution of support tickets and maintain high levels of service across 13 locations.

Provide best in class support for internal users, systems, and applications

Evaluate and respond to cybersecurity threats

Vendor & Systems Management

Manage relationships with external IT vendors, service providers, and contractors.

Coordinate software licensing, hardware procurement, telecom services, and support contracts.

Supervise telecom systems (e.g., VoIP, mobile device management).
Technical Support & Development

Lead system improvements, upgrades, security best practices, and network resilience.

Support internal reporting using SQL and develop scripts/automation to streamline operations. And, a focus on developing next-generation reporting.Â

Collaborate with department leads to understand and support their technology needs.
Qualifications
Required:

7+ years of progressive IT experience, with 3+ years in a leadership role.

Strong knowledge of systems administration, networking, and end-user support.

Experience managing technology vendors and service contracts.

Familiarity with SQL and scripting languages.

Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Experience in automotive retail or dealership management systems (Dealerbuilt, CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds).

Hands on system administration experience in Google Workspace and Active Directory

Experience with configuring firewalls and network switches

Certifications (CompTIA, Microsoft, Cisco) are a plus.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred; equivalent professional experience considered.
