Job Summary:

Pentagon Technologies is looking for a Sr. Quality Engineer to join their team in Portland. OR. This senior level position is a key customer-facing position which leads strategic quality development to drive quality improvements in business systems, processes, and products/services.  A strong candidate is resourceful, able to make decisions and problem solve independently, professional and organized in a fast-paced environment to represent the company in front of customers, with strong project management and communication skills.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Develop and implement QMS procedures, processes and tools at site, including conducting training within organization
• Monitor and trend non-conformances; Facilitate Failure Analysis and 8D/RCCA
• Conduct Quality Audits: planning, facilitating, findings closure, improvements
• Deploy and manage Statistical Process Control charts & dashboards, Measurement System Analysis studies per Process Control Plans; review data for process improvements
• Determine quality improvement parameters by assisting in identifying statistical methods relevant to the process
• Create Inspection Instructions that align with customer requirements
• Support Supplier Qualification / Monitoring program
•  Lead Customer Satisfaction initiatives and escalations to successful closure
•  Lead development of Standard Operating Procedures, review/release process, company training
• Travel to other Pentagon Technologies locations, vendor, and customer facilities within the continental US, as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor of Science degree in related STEM field with min of 5 year exp in managing quality of Product, Process, Quality System as per international standards like ISO 9001
•  Excellent analytical and advanced mathematical skills; spreadsheet and database management skills; strong general computer and statistical reasoning skills
• SPC experience
• Experience in Semiconductor Industry a plus
• ASQ Certification, Six Sigma and/or Lean Manufacturing certification a plus
• ISO9001 lead auditor training/certification preferred
• Statistics process controls using JMP or equivalent software
