MAIN OBJECTIVE
An excellent maintenance technician must be reliable and have a great eye for detail. They must have technical skills and knowledge of various crafts such as carpentry, electrical, etc. The Maintenance Technicians primary responsibility is troubleshooting CNC equipment and ensuring Planned and Preventative Maintenance (PM) procedures are completed.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Repair CNC Machinery, Manual Machine and Machining Centers. Work based on a sense of urgency with machine down conditions
- Use machine tool manuals, technical documents, and internal and vendor resources to research machine issues.
- Identify and replace parts as necessary.
- Complete testing and make adjustments of parts as needed.
- Conduct follow-ups on all maintenance and repair work.
- Conduct planned and preventative maintenance work.
- When required, coordinate with external suppliers and maintenance companies to ensure timely and accurate completion of work.
- Support with scheduling PM, reading report, diagrams and drawings
- In conjunction with production team, will support continuous improvement of development of PM instructions and schedules to prevent failures
- Perform daily cleaning and maintenance activities.
- Inspect sites regularly to identify problems and necessary maintenance.
- Troubleshoot hydraulics, electronics, and software, electrical, pneumatic and mechanical systems
- Maintain a Spare Parts Inventory of Machinery and other hardware needs Components to minimize downtime.
- Observe Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) policies and procedures for all equipment within the entire plant.
- Apply proper LOTO procedures for all maintenance, repair and intermittent processes on all machines for which you are trained.
- Registration and Record Keeping of all Power Tools used on the Shop Floor.
- Act as a forklift trainer for all employees who require forklift (and alike) equipment training.
- Required to follow all company Safety Rules and Procedures. (including but not limited to PPE)
- Required to maintain consistent and acceptable attendance according to the assigned schedule provided by the manager as well as the Team Member Handbook.
- Meet departmental goals and defined key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Other duties as assigned.
