With good pay, extensive benefits and a family atmosphere, we are seeking a Convention Services Manager to work with clients after booking to develop a relationship, upsell to improve revenue and review feedback to secure repeat business.

Reports To: Director of Sales & Marketing
The Convention Services Manager is a personable and focused individual with a sound knowledge of the services we can offer and an enthusiasm to drive the business forward through strong relationships with the client.
Responsibilities include:
- Work closely with client, primarily after booking, to develop good working relationship, including letter of introduction, meeting planner materials, prompt response to calls, emails, and requests.
- Maintain professionalism in problem situations.
- Maintain detailed records of discussions with guest, including room accommodations, all prices quoted and details committed for all meeting setups, food and beverage, transportation, etc.
- Up-sell to improve revenue generation on property.
- Be readily available during functions for consultation with client.
- Flexible schedule required to accommodate client needs, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Preside at conference planning meetings where details related to group coordination will be discussed and reviewed by management and operations staff.
- Participate in site visits if requested by the Director of Sale & Marketing or a Sales Manager.
- Conduct post-con meetings with clients to solidify repeat business and distribute results to management and operations staff, via the Post-Con Report.
- Respond and resolve guest requests, complaints, or questions in a courteous and timely manner.
- Follow up on affiliate or catering only leads given by sales managers or sales assistants. Have the ability to take a wedding lead in the absence of the Social Event Manager.
- Book social catering functions in the absence of the Social Event Manager and the Assistant Director of Sales & Catering
- Provide constructive feedback to the Assistant Director of Sales & Catering and the Director of Sales & Marketing in the development of banquet menus, and any other procedure / practice to increase revenue and / or customer satisfaction.
- Calculate 30-60-90 day banquet forecasting, reporting information to the Director of Convention Services on a monthly basis.
- Assist the Director of Sales & Marketing and the Assistant Director of Sales & Catering with assigned Catering-related tasks.
- Accurately use various office and accounting software.
