Description

The Oaks of Clearwater is needing an experienced full-time lead maintenance technician to be part of our team to care for our senior community. The Oaks of Clearwater is a 15 story building that provides care for seniors who are in independent living, assisted living, memory care, and skilled nursing care. We need good reliable team members who enjoy providing care for our residents and to work as a team. 

If you have experience in working in a hospital or senior community settings in maintenance and know how to:

  • recognize and respond to the safety and physical plant maintenance needs of the facility
  • communicate a sense of caring and concern and dignity for residents/patients
  • effectively assist in managing the maintenance department with regards to residents, employees, families, visitors and the public
  • conduct regular rounds of facility to check all plant maintenance areas to assure the quality of control and safety, health and welfare of residents and employees
  • Inspect storage rooms, workrooms, utility, and janitorial closets for upkeep, supply control and safety

Qualifications

The Lead Maintenance technician will have a minimum of one year experience working in a maintenance/plant related supervisory position. It is preferred this person have a minimum of six months experience in a nursing home, hospital, home health agency, or other health care facility. 

Employee will be licensed in accordance with current applicable standards, codes, and labor laws. A preference that the employee holds a license in air conditioning, health or two of the technical trades with related courses in electrical and plumbing. Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalency. A minimum of being capable to lifting a minimum of fifty pounds.
