JOB PURPOSE

Craft articles, landing pages, blog posts, and press releases that enhance our brand, boost search performance, and drive lead generation. This includes collaborating with marketing, SEO, and legal teams; translating complex legal topics for non-legal audiences; ensuring legal accuracy and compliance; optimizing content layout; and maintaining performance tracking and updates.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Partner with marketing, SEO, and legal teams to develop and execute content strategies aligned with firm goals and practice areas.

Stay current on legal trends and collaborate with attorneys to ensure content reflects accurate case details and client considerations.

Contribute to content planning using keyword research, competitor analysis, and firm priorities to guide outlines and publishing schedules.

Translate complex legal topics into clear, engaging content for non-legal audiences, focusing on personal injury, aviation law, and consumer protection.

Write and edit articles, blog posts, web pages, and other digital assets to meet SEO and branding standards and drive lead generation.

Ensure all content is legally accurate, compliant, and reviewed by subject-matter experts before publication.

Work with designers and developers to ensure content layout and formatting enhance user experience and follow SEO best practices.

Audit and update website content regularly to reflect legal changes, firm achievements, and evolving strategy.

Use analytics tools to track content effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.

Maintain a structured system for tracking edits, updates, and future content needs.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Experience

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, English, or a related field or equivalent experience.

2-5 years of professional copywriting experience.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

Experienced in creating original, long-form website content that aligns with brand voice and engages target audiences across digital platforms.

Proficient in managing content, including editorial calendars, content audits, and performance tracking for strategic alignment and continual improvement.

Skilled at translating complex legal and technical information into clear, accessible, and engaging content tailored for diverse audiences.

Advanced research skills ensure all content is accurate, compliant, and clearly communicated, maintaining editorial integrity across all formats.

Meticulous attention to detail, along with strong grammar, editing, and proofreading skills, to ensure polished content across all formats.

Solid understanding of SEO principles, including keyword use, metadata, internal links, and content structure to enhance visibility and performance.

Effective project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage timelines, and deliver high-quality content across multiple initiatives.

Strong team collaboration, working seamlessly with designers, developers, legal experts, and other stakeholders to ensure cohesive and impactful content.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience writing professional content in legal, healthcare, or other highly regulated industries.

Familiarity using CMS platforms like WordPress and analytics tools such as Google Analytics for publishing and tracking content effectiveness.

A sharable portfolio of published work.

Proficiency in Spanish.
