Entry Level HVAC/R Apprentice Role

Position Overview:

In this role, you will perform essential maintenance tasks, focusing on the cleaning and maintenance of a variety of equipment and facilities. Key Responsibilities:

  • Clean evaporators, condensers, and motor rooms to ensure optimal performance of refrigeration systems. 
  • Vacuum dust out of the motor rooms and de-grease equipment as needed.  
  • Scrape and coat drain pans to prevent clogs and water damage.  
  • Replace mechanical clamps (kush clamps) and clean up oil spills. 
  • Return used oil to recycling center and pick up PM materials from supply houses.  
  • Assist with other maintenance tasks as assigned and learn new skills on the job.  
  • Accurately document work performed, materials used, and time spent on tasks. 
  • Contribute positively to a collaborative work environment and communicate effectively within the team.
  • Must be organized, plan and coordinate work ahead of time. 
  • Responsible for operating a company vehicle and will be responsible for operating it properly.  
  • Treat clients with the highest respect and work to develop a partnership environment. 
  • Attention to detail and handle every client request with professionalism. 
  • Weld and braze with an open flame. 
  • Handle hazardous chemicals. 
  • Drive a company vehicle safely to customer locations. 
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications: 

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent. 
  • Required to possess EPA Universal certification.
  • Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record. 
  • No prior experience required; willingness to learn and follow instructions. 
  • Basic understanding of mechanical systems and tools.  
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail. 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 
  • Ability to work outdoors in difficult conditions, including adverse weather. 



 Schedule:

  • A technician’s typical workday Monday – Friday 8:00am to 6:00pm 
  • Work on an Overtime basis as needed.
